I did it! I completed my ccw class and passed the range qualification yesterday! I wanted to post before today, but life happens. In my case, my life revolved around getting to the range 1-2x a week, dry fire practice at home, improving my accuracy, and improving my speed, staying on top of my day gig, trying to eat healthy, trying to hydrate, and exercising with my four-legged BFF.
It was a lot, but definitely worth it. My confidence is soaring! I hope this feeling lasts for a long while. It feels fantastic to set a goal and achieve it. I’ll have to wait a few weeks to pick up my permit, but the hardest part is behind me.
Then today, I mailed my application for a Utah ccw permit which includes reciprocal permits for a bunch of other states. FYI – Anyone in California that passes the background check, can apply for this, no ccw required.
It might seem like my ccw journey is coming to end, but it’s only just beginning. And I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned and what others have learned (via interviews)..
Stay tuned! My first interview is in the works. It will be published on December 1st and this ccw holder is the definition of bad-@SS! She passed her range qual in 100 degree weather and without a red dot. I can’t wait for y’all to read her story.
